Our idea: the path to back health
There is no one best way; a customised solution is always required. However, it is often difficult for individuals to find their way through the jungle of offers. The key here is to trust your own instincts and find out what is good for your back. This is the only way to find your own personal path to back health and a pain-free life.
To ensure that the pain disappears quickly and does not return, you should take a holistic approach to back pain. The following measures a back-healthy back:
Get enough exercise
every day
In this context, everyday physical activities such as climbing stairs or active mini-breaks at work are particularly valuable. In addition, strengthening the core muscles ensures a stable spine
Stay physically active despite back problems
Gentle physical activities such as walking or cycling usually help.

Making everyday life back-friendly
Above all, an ergonomic environment helps, both at work and at home. The AGR seal of approval offers consumers reliable guidaance when purchasing back-friendly products.
Relaxing methods to reduce stress
Many people find it helpful to incorporate meditation and mindfulness into their everyday lives, but autogenic training or progressive muscle relaxation can also be good options.
A conscious and wholesome diet
Important minerals for the back such as magnesium, calcium and vitamin D as well as anto-inflammatory foods can reduce the risk of pain. Another plus point: a healthy diet helps to reduce excess weight, which can lead to incorrect strain on the back. Also make sure you drink enough water!
Restful sleep
Healthy sleep reduces mental and physical stress, reduces the perception of pain and increases the enjoyment of physical activities.

Maintaining positive social contacts
Friends and family not only brighten up our lives, they are also good for our well-being, our health and therefore also our backs.
Shared activities and enjoyable moments are balm for the soul AND the body!
Back Health Day annually on 15 March

Ergonomic products for a healthy back
The AGR seal of approval "certified & recommended" was developed by the AGR together with the two largest German back training associations as a decisionmaking aid for consumers. We use it to recognise products that have been assessed by an independent test commission of doctors and therapists from various disciplines according to strict criteria as being particularly back-friendly.
The quality and informative value of the AGR seal of approval was assessed by the Bundesverband Verbraucherinitiative e. V. on the consumer portal Label-online.de with the highest rating of "highly recommended". The AGR seal of approval and the testing process were also scrutinised by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and recognised as reputable and trustworthy in 2022. It is therefore one of the few seals of quality to have received this high-quality international award as an EU certification mark.
Experts against back pain
Our collective expertise in back health is based on the Alliance for Back Health. Because as varied as the causes of back pain are, the solutions should be just as varied. This is why various medical associations and therefore different professional groups are cooperating. Together, they are all dedicated to the topic of back pain: from the Professional Association for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery to the Professional Association of German Psychologists, the German Gymnastics
Federation and the Association for Physiotherapy.
In total, this alliance consists of around 150,000 therapists and doctors. One expert alone cannot have the right answer or solution for all questions and challenges. Only together can we get a grip on this common ailment.
